Protecting animals in the most neglected parts of the world

How they help animals

Sinergia Animal is fighting factory farming in the regions where the practice has seen the most growth but also gets the least attention, particularly South America and South East Asia.

While most animal welfare resources serve North America and Europe, Sinergia Animal is focused on reducing animal suffering in areas with expanding meat consumption and few animal protections:

Sinergia conducts powerful undercover investigations that expose animal mistreatment, generating media coverage that companies can't ignore.

Partnering with schools, universities, and institutions Sinergia improves access to regular plant-based options.

Cleverly pressuring companies, Sinergia convinces major food entities to eliminate the worst factory farming practices from their supply chains.

Why support them

Your donation goes further where it's needed most: Three out of every five animals raised for food in the world are in Asia, Africa, and South America – where there are often few or no laws to protect them. Adding to the disparity, the vast majority of donations to help farmed animals are spent in Europe and North America, while animals in low income countries are in desperate need of saving.

Sinergia is making a real difference: Sinergia's work pressuring companies has secured commitments that will help over 26 million pigs each year. That’s millions of baby pigs spared from being cut and castrated without pain relief, while over 800,000 mother pigs will be protected from extreme confinement in “gestation crates” (stalls so small they can’t turn around. Sinergia is  also helping to improve the lives of millions of chickens and is responsible for 370,000+ more plant-based meals being eaten each year.

Experts confirm they're among the best: Sinergia has been recognized by Animal Charity Evaluators as one of the most effective animal charities in the world for six consecutive years — a remarkable achievement that confirms your donation will be well-spent.

Romy Gelber
Bunny foster parent, FarmKind donor

“As someone who fosters rescue bunnies, I've seen firsthand how every animal is an individual who deserves care and protection. What drew me to Sinergia Animal is how they're helping animals in parts of the world with the least legal protections and welfare standards.”
